Four years have passed since the military terrorists attempted the coup on February 1, 2021. Throughout these years, the military terrorists have continued to commit various forms of severe human rights violations that amount to war crimes and crimes against humanity. For women, due to the various forms of human rights violations that they face on a daily basis, including sexual violence, many have lost their lives. In May 2025 alone, 92 women have been killed. The reported data has been monitored and collected from reliable media sources and by Burmese Women’s Union (BWU). However, BWU encounters numerous obstacles when accessing data and information; therefore, the actual figures may be much higher on the ground.
