The ongoing impunity of the Myanmar military must end, and the brutal junta must be held accountable for its crimes. Here are just some of the crimes that the military junta is committing with total impunity in Myanmar as the people continue to resist: targeting of civilians using lethal force; shooting civilians on sight; extrajudicial killings; arbitrary arrests; detention and torture; forced labor; sexual violence; rape and gang rape; massacres; theft and looting; destruction of property; extortion; internet restrictions; muzzling of the press; violence against children; use of human shields; enforced disappearance; razing villages; shelling, bombing, and airstrikes; and the concealment and destruction of evidence of their crimes.
