Military Junta’s Maneuvers Around the NCA – Issue 124

15 October 2023 marks the 8th anniversary of the signing of the Nationwide Ceasefire Agreement (NCA). The Myanmar’s military junta continues to cling to the peace process that emerged under the landmark agreement, which has been stalled by the recent military coup, while some Ethnic Revolutionary Organizations (EROs) remain in engagement with the regime.
Our Burma News International (BNI) – Myanmar Peace Monitor (MPM) Weekly News Review examines the military council’s maneuvers to organize the 8th anniversary of the signing of the Nationwide Ceasefire Agreement which was initially signed with eight Ethnic Armed Organizations (EAOs).
အာဏာသိမ်းစစ်အုပ်စု၏ အန်စီအေ လှုပ်ရှားမှု
လာမည့် အောက်တိုဘာ ၁၅ ရက်နေ့သည် တစ်နိုင်ငံလုံး ပစ်ခတ်တိုက်ခိုက်မှုရပ်စဲရေးသဘောတူစာချုပ် (NCA) လက်မှတ်ထိုးခြင်း (၈) နှစ်ပြည့်သောနေ့ဖြစ်သည်။ စစ်အာဏာသိမ်းမှုကြောင့် ရပ်တန့်သွားသည့် ငြိမ်းချမ်းရေးလုပ်ငန်းစဉ်ကို NCA အရ အာဏာသိမ်းစစ်အုပ်စုမှ အလေးအနက် ဖက်တွယ်ထားသကဲ့သို့ NCA စာချုပ်ကို ဆုတ်ကိုင်ကာ အာဏာသိမ်းစစ်အုပ်စုနှင့် သွားရောက်တွေ့ဆုံနေကြသည့် တိုင်းရင်းသားလက်နက်ကိုင် တော်လှန်ရေးအဖွဲ့ (ERO) တချို့လည်း ရှိနေပါသည်။
ယခုတစ်ပတ် BNI-Myanmar Peace Monitor ၏ အပတ်စဉ်သတင်းသုံးသပ်ချက်တွင် ERO (၈) ဖွဲ့နှင့် စတင်လက်မှတ်ရေးထိုးခဲ့သည့် (၈) နှစ်ပြည့် အန်စီအေ NCA နေ့ အခမ်းအနား ပြုလုပ်နိုင်ရေးအတွက် အာဏာသိမ်းစစ်အုပ်စု၏ လှုပ်ရှားမှုများကို လေ့လာတင်ပြထားပါသည်။
