Time For NUG To Approach The Thai Government. – Issue 101

Thailand, whose ancient name is ‘Siam’, shares a long border with Myanmar. Thailand is the main destination country for Myanmar migrants. However, it is questionable whether or not the Myanmar citizens who have arrived in Thailand due to the various reasons, receive sufficient security and protections.

In particular, the Thai government is bravely engaging with junta leader Senior General Min Aung Hlaing throughout the junta’s attempted coup by turning a blind eye to the Myanmar people’ demands. It can be said that the military leaders of the two countries are mocking the Myanmar’s Spring Revolution by formulating the principle: “Hand in Hand, Back to Back and Side by Side.”

The BNI – Myanmar Peace Monitor’s weekly news review for this week focuses on the Thai government leaders’ activities and approaches which are dangerous for the Myanmar citizens including the forces of the Spring Revolution.

တစ်ချိန်က အယုဒ္ဓယခေါ် ထိုင်းနိုင်ငံသည် မြန်မာနိုင်ငံနှင့် ရှည်လျားသော နယ်မြေထိစပ်မှုရှိသည့်အလျောက် မြန်မာနိုင်ငံသားများအတွက် အားကိုးအားထားရာ ရွှေ့ပြောင်းနိုင်ငံတစ်ခုဟုလည်း ဆိုနိုင်ပါသည်။ သို့သော် ထိုင်းနိုင်ငံအတွင်း အကြောင်းအမျိုးမျိုးဖြင့် ရောက်ရှိနေကြသော မြန်မာနိုင်ငံသားများအတွက်မူ လုံလောက် သည့် လုံခြုံမှုနှင့် အကာအကွယ်ပေးမှုများ ရရှိနေသလားဆိုသည်က မေးခွန်းထုတ်ဖွယ်ဖြစ်နေပါသည်။

အထူးသဖြင့် စစ်အုပ်စု၏ အာဏာသိမ်းရန် ကြိုးပမ်းနေသည့် ကာလတစ်လျှောက်လုံးတွင် ထိုင်းအစိုးရသည် မြန်မာပြည်သူလူထု၏ တောင်းဆိုဟစ်ကြွေးသံများကို လစ်လျူရှုကာ အာဏာသိမ်းစစ်ခေါင်းဆောင် ဗိုလ်ချုပ် မှူးကြီးမင်းအောင်လှိုင်နှင့် လက်ချင်းချိတ်ဆက် ထိတွေ့မှုကို ရဲတင်းစွာလုပ်ဆောင်ပြနေပါသည်။ နှစ်နိုင်ငံ စစ် ခေါင်းဆောင်များအချင်းချင်း လက်ဝါးချင်းရိုက်၊ ကျောချင်းကပ်၊ ရင်ချင်းထပ်ကာ မြန်မာ့နွေဦးတော်လှန်ရေးကို ပြက်ရယ်ပြုနေကြသည်ဟု ဆိုရပါမည်။
