It has been nearly four years since the military terrorists attempted the coup on February 1, 2021. Throughout these years, the military terrorists have continued to commit various forms of severe human rights violations that include war crimes and crimes against humanity. Consequently, women continue to lose their lives daily due to sexual violence and other forms of human rights abuses. As of 2024, 478 women have been killed. The reported data has been monitored and collected from reliable media sources and by the Burmese Women’s Union (BWU). BWU encounters numerous obstacles when accessing data and information; therefore, the actual figures may be much higher on the ground.
