Attacks on Health Care in Myanmar (03-16 April 2024)

Insecurity Insight has identified at least 82 attacks on Myanmar’s health care system between 01 January-31 March 2024. In these incidents, 43 health facilities have been damaged 43 times, often by explosive weapons. These attacks undermine health care providers’ ability to effectively meet patient needs, maintain safe staffing levels and impact the population’s access to health care.
