Ultranationalism: Military’s attempts to the State Control

This paper explores the military council’s attempt to control state power through ultranationalism and the role of pro-military groups. It includes mainly the military council’s weaponization pattern of ethnic and religious identities, the military’s ways of balancing power, the correlation between pro-military supporters and militias formed and supported by the military and the military council’s schemes on elections. By analyzing how the military utilized ethnic and religious conflicts for its illegitimate control of power during the Spring Revolution, this paper hopes to assist nation-building in processes to solve ethnic and religious conflicts and formulate the necessary policies to build a peaceful coexistence society during and post-Spring Revolution.

“အစွန်းရောက်အမျိုးသားရေးအထိုင်မှ အာဏာထိန်းချုပ်ရေးကြိုးပမ်းမှုများ” စာတမ်းကတော့ အမျိုးသားရေးအစွန်းရောက်အတွေးအခေါ်ကို အခြေပြုပြီး စစ်အုပ်စုရဲ့ အာဏာတည်မြဲရေးအတွက် ကြိုးပမ်းဆောင်ရွက်မှုများ၊ အမျိုးသားရေးအစွန်းရောက်အုပ်စုများရဲ့ အခန်းကဏ္ဍများကို လေ့လာသုံးသပ်ထားတဲ့ အစီရင်ခံစာပဲဖြစ်ပါတယ်။ အဓိကအားဖြင့် စစ်အုပ်စုရဲ့ လူမျိုးရေး/ဘာသာရေးကို ခုတုံးလုပ် အသုံးချမှုပုံစံတွေ၊ အာဏာထိန်းညှိရေးလမ်းကြောင်းတွေ၊ စစ်တပ်ထောက်ခံသူအစုများနဲ့ စစ်အုပ်စုက လက်အောက်ခံ လက်နက်ကိုင်တပ်ဖွဲ့များအကြား ဆက်စပ်မှုတွေ၊ စစ်အုပ်စုရဲ့ ရွေးကောက်ပွဲဆိုင်ရာ ကြိုးပမ်းချက်များ ပါဝင်ပါတယ်။ နွေဦးတော်လှန်ရေး ကာလမှာ စစ်တပ်ရဲ့ တရားမဲ့အာဏာထိန်းချုပ်ရေးကြိုးပမ်းမှုတွေမှာ လူမျိုးရေး ဘာသာရေးပဋိပက္ခတွေကို ဘယ်လို အသုံးချနေသလဲဆိုတာကို သိရှိမှသာ နွေဦးတော်လှန်ရေးကာလအတွင်းနဲ့ တော်လှန်ရေးကာလအလွန် နိုင်ငံတည်ဆောက်ရေးဖြစ်စဉ်တွေမှာ လူမျိုးရေး/ဘာသာရေးအခြေပြုပဋိပက္ခများကိုကိုင်တွယ်ဖြေရှင်းမယ့် လုပ်ငန်းစဉ်တွေ၊ ငြိမ်းချမ်းစွာအတူယှဉ်တွဲနေထိုင်နိုင်တဲ့ လူမှုအသိုက်အဝန်းတခု တည်ဆောက်နိုင်ရေးအတွက် လိုအပ်တဲ့ မူဝါဒတွေ ရေးဆွဲရာမှာ အထောက်အကူပြုနိုင်မှာ ဖြစ်ပါတယ်။
