(Paletwa Township – Chin State 12^th March 2020)

On 4^th and 9^th March 2020, Tatmadaw fighter jets launched airstrikes on the village of New Puivung (Pwee Wone) in Paletwa Township, Chin State, killing 3 and injuring 7 Chin community members. Two of the deceased have been confirmed as U Ye Tun (45) and U Chit Tun (65). Sources reported that clashes between Tatmadaw and Arakan Army (AA) infantry units began breaking out in close proximity to the village on 4^th March before the airstrikes commenced;

“The first incident happened on 4^th March where the Tatmadaw used three fighter jets, bombing the village. One person was killed and another two were injured. Four houses were burned down. On 9^th March the Tatmadaw carried out aerial bombings using four fighter jets while in combat with the AA. A blast detonated killing two villagers and injuring three others and two houses were also burned down. During this airstrike, the Tatmadaw targeted not just the village but the hills surrounding the village,” said one community member who agreed to speak to CHRO on condition of anonymity.

According to sources, after the first bombings on 4^th March, the majority of the village had fled their homes. There were only 7 people left in the village on the 9^th March when at approximately 5 p.m. 4 fighter jets began airstrikes. During the bombings, two houses were destroyed and 5 people sustained injuries, 2 died later;

“The two people didn’t die on the spot but due to the severity of the injuries they sustained from the blast, they were dead by the next morning. The other three people sustained injuries to their thighs and legs.”

အခုတလော မြန်မာ့တပ်မတော်ရဲ့ လေကြောင်းတိုက်ခိုက်မှုကြောင့် တပတ်အတွင်း ချင်းပြည်နယ်တောင်ပိုင်း ပလက်ဝမြို့နယ် ပွီဝုန်းရွာသစ်ကျေးရွာတွင် ရွာသား(၃)ဦးသေဆုံးပြီး (၅)ဦးထိခိုက်ဒဏ်ရာရရှိကာ လူနေအိမ် (၆)လုံးမီးလောင်ခဲ့သည်ဟု အမည်မဖော်လိုသူ ဒေသခံတဦးက ချင်းလူ့အခွင့်အရေးအဖွဲ့ထံ သတင်းပေးပို့ ပါသည်။

မြန်မာ့တပ်မတော်က AA လက်နက်ကိုင်အဖွဲ့ကို လေကြောင်းကနေ တိုက်လေယဉ်(၄)စီးနဲ့ဗုံးကြဲ တိုက်ခိုက် ခဲ့ရာတွင် ပလက်ဝမြို့နယ် ပွီဝုန်းရွာသစ်ကျေးရွာအတွင်း လက်နက်ကြီးကျည် ကျရောက်ပေါက်ကွဲတဲ့အတွက် ၀၉၊ ၀၃၊ ၂၀၂၀ရက်နေ့တွင် ရွာသား(၂)ဦးသေဆုံးပြီး (၃)ဦးထိခိုက်ဒဏ်ရာရရှိကာ လူနေအိမ်(၂)လုံး မီးလောင် ခဲ့ကြောင်းနှင့် ၀၄၊ ၀၃၊ ၂၀၂၀ရက်နေ့မှာလည်း တိုက်လေယဉ်(၃)စီးနဲ့ ဗုံးကြဲတိုက်ခိုက်ခဲ့ရာတွင် ရွာသား(၁)ဦး သေဆုံးကာ (၂)ထိခိုက်ဒဏ်ရာရရှိပြီး လူနေအိမ်(၄)လုံး မီးလောင်ခဲ့ကြောင်း အဆိုပါဒေသခံက ဆက်လက်ပြောဆိုပါသည်။

“မတ်လ(၉)ရက်နေ့ ညနေ(၅)နာရီလောက်မှာ ရွာအထက်ပိုင်း ကနေပြီး ကျနော်တို့ရွာထက်နားကို တိုက်လေယဉ် (၄)စီးကနေ ဗုံးကြဲတိုက်ခိုက်ခဲ့တယ် အဲဒီအချိန်မှာ ရွာထဲမှာ ရွာသား(၇)ယောက်လောက်ဘဲရှိတယ် အဲချိန် ရွာထဲ လက်နက်ကြီးကျည် ကျရောက်ပေါက်ကွဲတဲ့အတွက် ရွာသား(၂)ဦးသေဆုံးတယ် (၃)ဦးထိခိုက်ဒဏ်ရာရကြတယ် အိမ်က(၂)လုံးလည်းမီးလောင်သွားတယ်၊ သေသွားတဲ့ လူ(၂)ယောက်က အဲဒီနေ့မှာတော့ချက်ချင်းမသေဘဲ ဒဏ်ရာပြင်းထန်တဲ့အတွက် နောက်နေ့မနက်ပိုင်းမှာဘဲ သေကြတယ်” ဟုအဆိုပါဒေသခံက ဆက်လက် ပြောဆိုပါသည်။

မတ်လ(၉)ရက်နေ့တုန်းက သေဆုံးတဲ့သူတွေကတော့ အသက်(၄၅)နှစ်အရွယ် ဦးရဲထွန်းနှင့် အသက်(၆၅)နှစ် အရွယ် ဦးချစ်ထွန်းတို့ဖြစ်ကြပြီး အခြား(၃)ဦး ထိခိုက်ဒဏ်ရာရတဲ့သူတွေဟာ ပေါင်နဲ့ခြေထောက်တွေမှာ အသီးသီးထိခိုက်ဒဏ်ရာရခဲ့ကြကြောင်း သိရပါသည်။

မတ်လ(၄)ရက်ကနေစတင်၍ ပွီဝုန်းရွာသစ်ကျေးရွာမှ (၃)မိုင်လောက်ကွာဝေးတဲ့နေရာမှာ မြန်မာစစ်တပ်နှင့် AA လက်နက်ကိုင်အဖွဲ့တို့အကြား တိုက်ပွဲပြင်းထန်တဲ့အတွက် တိုက်ပွဲဖြစ်ပွားတဲ့နေရာတလျှောက်ကို မြန်မာ့တပ်မတော်က တိုက်လေယဉ်(၃)စီးနဲ့ အကြိမ်ကြိမ် ဗုံးကြဲတိုက်ခိုက်ခဲ့သလို မတ်လ(၉)ရက်နေ့တွင်လည်း တိုက်လေယဉ်(၄)စင်းနဲ့ ဗွီဟူးရွာသစ်ကျေးရွာအပါအဝင် တောင်တန်းတွေကို ဗုံးကြဲတိုက်ခိုက်ခဲ့တဲ့အတွက် ရွာသားတွေအားလုံး ဘေးလွတ်ရာ ထွက်ပြေးခဲ့ကြကြောင်း သတင်းရရှိပါသည်။
